T-shirt business?

I am a single mother of 20 years of age one year old. Curently I'm not working, after taking a year of high school (I had a difficult pregnancy) graduateing I'm finally in June. I start college in July IM specializing in fashion design. I have a passion for designing things. I like adding things to my shirts and jeans to make them pop. I need a way to make money, because he goes to school full time. I know the shirt design is something I can do and people will buy. Me and my friends to buy graphic tees at all times. But how do to start that? Where will I sell? How much investment will I need? Is it possible to obtain a small business grant, if so How? What type of ad that I need?

Unless you live in a big city, you will not make money on the design. Need some great demand, not a niche market or a market of special interests. If you're really interested in the "business" of design, giving a bit of education business. Get a degree in business, not a fashion degree.
