How to get a photo of mine put on a t shirt. does it have to be vector?

I’ve been hearing that when you want a design on a t shirt it has to be vector?
I want to put a photo on a shirt along with some font.
Do either of these have to be vector or is jpg fine?
and if they have to be vector how do i do that?
i have adobe cs3.

You may want to print it at least 300 dpi, but you can print any type of picture on an iron on sheet and put it onto a t-shirt. Pick the Iron-ons up from Wal-Mart.
