Tie-dye clothing today experiencing a renaissance magic. Baby boomers who grew up with Tie-Dye T-Shirts in the power of flowers and the peace movement are reaching a stage of their lives where they have more time to reflect, remember the values held dear for 40 years and have the resources to find the clothes that held value revive before going into business and is distracted by a few decades.

Dying fabrics has a long history. Men always the temptation to decorate your body and stand out. Nature offers many colors and when it was discovered that the fibers can be woven into clothing, which is then used to create clothing, it was clear that people tried to use colors offered by nature to make the garments more significant.

Initially, the dye extracted from the juices of various plants, flowers, bark, leaves, etc, were applied to the base fabric. The problem was that these dyes principles did not last through washing or could even shook. This form of color must be considered a form of beautification and still not die.

When it was discovered how a permanent bond with the fabric dyeing could be achieved was born to die. Different methods have been developed as part of the plot could be prepared to resist the ink when applied to the whole fabric or garment. One way was to apply some wax that would make the UN fiber impregnable to water-based dyes. After the death process of the wax is removed by heat or a solvent. This method is known as batik. The other obvious method was to tie knots in tight clothing or fold and bind tightly to that, when submerged in the dye, some areas could not reached by the dye. We call this tie-dye.

For a period at the end of 16th century Japan was divided into kingdoms that were often at war each other. In recognition of its special value in the battles warlords often more appreciated official awarded stained kimono or kosoden. A special variety of tie-dye is used in these kimonos. Larger areas of the cloth and tied to create spaces that are then filled with ink, the drawings intricate flowers, landscapes and scenery.

These gifts have been passed from generation to generation and some can now be found in museums. Despite Natural dyes have faded, flower designs and detailed scenes and landscapes are still magnificent.
