George Best was born in east Belfast on 22 May 1946. From an early age her parents recognized George's love for football. His mother said: "George was always the ball! "

At age 11 won a scholarship to the local primary school Grosvenor High where, unfortunately for George, rugby was the only sport in the curriculum. George hated not being able to play football and so he began to miss school so he could play. He was caught out, with the result that both his parents and the school decided that George would be better off going to school Lisnasharragh where he could play football.

George very quickly, its brand, and realized very quickly too. It was discovered by Bob Bishop, when he was 15 and was signed by Joe Armstrong in 1961, making his debut at Manchester United in 1963. When it started it was very nostalgic for his hometown of Belfast, and well after playing his first game back for Christmas. The club was called asking him to play against Burnley, who had won on Boxing Day. George, who only played a professional game at this point agree to return, but only if they would fly back to Belfast immediately after the game. The club agreed and will not repent, as he scored his first goal and the United overturned their previous defeat.

George Best is considered by many as the greatest players that ever lived, and is best remembered for his time with Manchester United FC. He played for them from 1963 to 1974, and they helped win the Football League Championship in 1965 and 1967 and the European Cup in 1968. Also in 1968, as a testimony to his amazing football skills was named European Footballer of the Year and Football Writers' Association Player of the Year. People often state: "Maradona good, Pel? Etter, George Best ', and really make an impact in his time with Manchester United, which played for 466 games, scoring 178 goals? 6 of which were at stake against each Northampton Town.

Best time with Manchester United, along with his talent, performance and looks good (it was dubbed the "fifth Beatle") made a huge celebrity. However, this celebrity led to his downfall as he developed the game, womanizing and alcohol problems.

Unfortunately, after 11 years with the club, United laid off better because of his excessive drinking and his inability to attend training and matches. George only was 27 and ended up drifting between the clubs, including Fulham, Dunstable Town, Hibernian, Los Angeles Aztecs, Stockport County and Bournemouth until he retired in 1983 at the age of 37 years.

In 2002, he had a liver transplant, but caused widespread criticism when it was found that drinking again. Unfortunately died in 2005 at the age of 59 years because of drug side effects to be utilized to prevent his body rejecting the transplanted liver. The FA Premier League announced that a minute's silence will be observed before all league games to be held the weekend of his death. You have lived a life issue, but he was a brilliant football player and well respected, who once said: 'Pel? Alled me the best player in the world. That is the ultimate salute to my life. "
