Iron on heat transfer paper can be used for applying custom graphics and text to t-shirts, sweatshirts and other fabric items. You can be as creative as you want by using a scanner or digital camera to capture and manipulate images, graphics, or logos, and transfer them to fabric using iron on heat transfer paper. It is simple to print multiple colors and intricate designs, and you can easily customize the output. Iron on heat transfer paper is great for small or large jobs.

Digital images can be transferred to light or dark fabric by printing an image on transfer paper and ironing it onto your fabric. Iron on transfer paper for white t-shirts is different than paper for dark t-shirts. If you are creating an image for a black or dark blue t-shirt, be sure to get the version of transfer paper for dark fabric for the images to transfer well.

Depending on the type of printer, you must choose the correct type of transfer paper in order to successfully print images on the fabric. Most t-shirt transfer paper is for inkjet printers. However, if you have a laser printer, there is iron on heat transfer paper available specifically for laser printers. It is recommended that you do not use the inkjet transfer papers in your laser printer. For best results, the fabrics must have at least 50% cotton content. Instructions must be followed carefully to achieve optimal results.
