What’s the difference between size medium and youth large for t-shirts at Hot Topic?

Since we don’t have a Hot Topic store in our country, I decided to ship the items I want online. When I was having a look on the t-shirts, I kinda got mixed up between size medium and youth large because on the size chart it’s written that youth large converts to 14-16 and I’m 14 years old, turning 15 on August 2nd. When I also purchase clothes from stores like Bershka, Jennifer, Limited Too, Pimkie, etc.. I buy them size medium and it fits me perfectly. So, please.. can anyone help me in telling the difference between the sizes and which one is better for me? Thanks in advance for your replies.

I worked for them for like 7 years.
A youth large and a regular medium will be the same length, but the youth large will have a thinner width, and usually smaller neck and arm holes.
