T Shirt Printer Inkjet
Has anyone tried inkjet iron-on-fabric transfer paper?
So I was in Wal-Mart the other day and I discovered in the print isle, that they now have iron-on-fabric transfer paper for inkjet printers. My imagination began teeming, me being a failed graphic designer with a degree but no portfolio, of things I could make with that, like fake clothing brands and stuff idk. They have three kinds: light fabric, colored fabric, and dark/black fabric. The photo-preview on the packaging looks too good to be true as it portrays vibrant lossless imagery printed onto t-shirts and bags like factory-made.
So I’m wondering, has anyone tried that stuff? …and what kind is best (white/color/dark)?
My common sense tells me (inkjet and all) that it would turn out looking like crap, and would not be worth it, but if there is a slim chance it actually does look as good as promised, I would need to know.
I have tried light and dark and you are right, it did look quite crap
(
The colours looked a bit washed out to start with and it peels and fakes off very quickly. You could try sealing it over the top with some clear acrylic this helps a little.
