T Shirt Makeovers

A wardrobe makeover?

Before anyone asks, this is a fall/winter shopping spree for the entire family, and we’re doing a house makeover, which means wardrobe makeovers too. I’m paying with my own money for things that are way too expensive. I’m in 8th grade.

So, I need advice on what I should get. Like, how many of each item. Such as t-shirts/jeans. I’m not throwing EVERYTHING out. Just the stuff that doesn’t fit me anymore.

Specific ?’s: How many jeans should I have and how many belts?

I don’t need stores, just a list. I just want OPINIONS for a wardrobe for a 13 year old.

10 points for best answer. Thanks. :-)

It’s good that you’re trying to get rid of the stuff that’s a clutter to your wardrobe. If you haven’t figured out what you are going to do with them I’d sudgest you try and give the small/big clothes to a younger family member, or donate them to a charity.

+ 15-20 tee shirts. Tee shirts are classic and you can wear them when you’re feeling extreamly lazy. There are some really cute graphic tees if it isn’t your style to wear a brand name across your chest. Personally I love Hollister, Bluenotes, and American Eagle.
+ 7-12 pairs of jeans. Try and get different cuts and washes that flatter you. Right now wide-leg and skinny jeans are in. If you like, you can find skinny jeans in any out-there solid color.
+ 5-10 belts. One black, one white, one leather [or faux leather ;D], and one gray at least. Go with neutrals, they go with everything. However if you wear alot of one color, buy one in that too.
+ 5-15 shoes. I’d say that you should invest in a pair of shoes that can speciallize to winter’s weather. Then a pair of comfortable shoes you can wear all the time [Air Force One's or Etnies for me]. A pair of heels for when you want to dress up. And a few pairs of flats in neutral colors.
+ 15-25 camis. That’s just because I have an obsession with Aeropostale’s camis [my boyfriend likes when I wear them too]. Alot of stores have nice camis, but, not all of them are under ten dollars.
+ 5-10 skirts. Every girl should have a few skirts. A black one, a white one, and a denim one. They can make you feel way more girly, and still flatter you.
+ 10-20 henleys and layering tops. You know how your school’s dress code is. You don’t want to wear a heavy sweater all day, but you don’t want to be sent home for indecent coverage. That’s when you pull one of these babies on.
+ 6-11 pairs of fleece pants. Sweatpants is the proper term for these athletic and uber comfy attire. I like the ones that you can scrunch to your knee.
+10-20 hoodies. Warm, cute, and fashionable. Go for some that have logos, others that are plain, and then some that have cool designs.

Other things you should look for:
Arm warmers
Legwarmers
Beads in many colors
Scarves, gloves and hats.

Happy shopping . (:
