Where can I find a good graphic designer?
I run a small business specializing in humor t-shirts. We are a very creative firm, and I don’t really like to use large companies for projects. We are currently running a promotion, and I need a banner made. I usually don’t go with the same graphic designer more than twice, because I like variety. I am looking for a talented, yet inexpensive graphic designer to create ONE banner for the company. This is a paid job.
I have tried craigslist, and other places, but I usually don’t get the responses I want. That is why I am turning to Yahoo! Answers. I guess my wording was wrong. I just want someone to create ONE banner for me. Its small like 160 x 400
Best bet: look to a community college or university – see if you can hook up with a design student. Or call a local printer and see if they could recommend a freelancer. Typical freelance *professional* rate is $75-150/hour, depending on where you are. A student rate would probably be $25-30.
EDIT: Your wording was fine, my mistake. Truly, student designers are indeed a wonderful option for projects like this, and it gives them an opportunity to get a piece for their portfolios. I see you found someone already!
