How do you print pictures on T-shirts/Fabric for people?

I want to start printing pictures for other people on a t-shirt. Does anyone have any advice on how I should do this and what i will need to buy.
By the way, I live in UK if that makes any difference and bearing in mind I don;t have a lot of money. I would appreciate any knowledge.
