becoming an entrepreneur?

I have some really good idea’s involving different business’s. I want to start a T-shirt line benefiting pediatric cancer, I have some drawings and sketches of some T-shirts.

I also know of a perfect place where a Panera Bread would do very well. I have done my research on Panera Bread Franchise’s. Some of the requirements are: Net worth of $7.5 million and Liquid assets of $3 million. I’m young, I don’t have that kind of money, and this would be my first restaurant.

Where do I go from here?
Who should I ask to invest in these idea’s?
How do I prepare to ask people worth millions to support the idea?

Considering you have zero experience and you want to start a non-profit here are my suggestions.

Volunteer at a non-profit. United Way is one of the best run non-profit groups in the country. Get involved in fund raising activities with them. They have several corporate sponsors.

Contact SCORE and the small business administration for direction.

Also, because cancer is your cause look on meetup.com to see if there are existing cancer support groups in your area. Try to attend a meeting at a local hospital or meetup group. Talk to cancer survivors or parents who have children with cancer about what they would like to see happen from a local charitable organization.

You can also get in contact with the Ronald McDonald House to volunteer. They provide room and board for families with children in the hospital who need treatment far from home. They can give you excellent direction.
