Pirate fashion for clubbing?

My friend is taking me to a club on Monday and it is goth/industrial night. I really love pirates and I was thinking of doing a pirate-like look to myself. I really wouldn’t have any problems with this but I am plus size. I don’t want to wear a striped shirt because it makes plus size people look worse and I’m pretty shy as to how I present my body. I have a black peasant shirt. I’m not sure how to dress myself so I’d look ok. Any suggestions?

I’d have to agree with djsoda up there, going dressed as a pirate to a goth club is not a good idea. However, you can look kinda pirate-ish and not be mocked, if you dress is what we call the Romanti-goth style. The peasant shirt you would work, and any long or medium length dark skirt with it (frayed edges would work well if you still want to have a pirate feel), with tights and black pointy shoes.

To be honest, goths can spot a non-goth that is trying to fit in a mile away. And they don’t like to feel as if their style is being mocked. I suggest you just wear clothing that you feel comfortable in that are in black.
