What is the best design software for the creation of a new clothing line?

I have many ideas for a new clothing line, but I do not know what to download software to start my ideas. I want something I can design everything from shirts to jeans to jewelry and hats, if possible. I'm using a MacBook Pro and prefer something that I can see a 3D model of my designs. What software do the best job for me, for a reasonable price or free?
