How can I change colour on Photoshop?

I have a black [free] T-Shirt Template that I want to use for my designs. I want to know how I can change the colour of the shirt without reducing its details. Please let me know ASAP. Thank you

usually you could use the paintbrush tool with the color filter and select a color that would keep shadows while changing the tones, but since its back its not actually a color, if its on its own sperate layer you could try changing the tint of that layer, or selecting around it adding some brightness and then color with the paintbrush.

im sure there is a a way to do it, theres always a way with photoshop. try playing around with those things.
