How to cut up two shirts and tie them together?

Question pretty much explains it all. I’m being an indian for halloween, and my costume idea is an indian. I want to take two t-shirts, cut them up, fringe them, and tie them together to make one t-shirt, without it looking ‘sucky’. Any ideas?

cut up the seem in the side of each shirt. Then cut strips on the side like you would tying shirts. then just tie the 2 together
