Bjork is another of the singers that I like, but none of my friends do. I started listening to Björk when my sister had P's debut album and I listened a day and are hooked. Most of my friends think it's a little strange, but a little like that and I think she has an incredible voice and is very cute. Some of his songs have "weird" lyrics that people find depressing, but as I am a little strange to myself that I can sort of relate, and some of my poems are a little on the weird side too.

Björk was born in Reykjavik, Iceland on 21 November 1965. She started her musical career at age eleven years when he studied classical piano in school. His teacher sent a copy of your song to RUV radio, but, at that time was the only station radio in Iceland. Shortly after the show, was signed Fálkinn Records and released the album by Björk in 1977.

In his early days working Bjork with several bands from Iceland, the biggest success was The Sugarcubes. They released the album Life's Too Good in 1988 and was a great success in the UK and the U.S. that was what best for an Icelandic rock band. Björk also wrote of association with the Manchester band on their album 808 State Ex: which was launched in 1991. The Sugarcubes separated in 1992 and Iceland Bjork left to move to London where he began work on his solo career.

Debut was released in 1993 and was a great success, partly due to the earlier release of the human individual behavior. The album was named album of the year by NME magazine and also went Platinum in the U.S.. A Although Björk had already released a solo album when I was eleven, he decided to name the first album as it was a turning point in his career and a beginning of something new. Due to successful albums Bjork won the awards for Best International Female Artist and Best International Newcomer at the British in 1994.

In 1995, the launch of their new album Post Bjork saw increasing popularity in the UK and the U.S. where the album turned Platinum. The success was due in part to the release of the single It's Oh So Quiet and this officer did Iceland's biggest musical export Bjork. The singles Hyperballad, possibly the best Army and hits me too were massive.

The album Homogenic was released in 1997 and saw a crucial shift from his earlier style in a more emotional and personal style. The album has sold over 1.7 million copies worldwide and reached # 4 in the list of albums in the UK. Bjork said in an interview following about the album, "I wanted to make an honest record. I, here, myself, at home. I was wondering if there is such thing as Icelandic techno and how it might sound. Well, in Iceland, everything revolves around nature, 24 hours a day. The earthquakes, snowstorms, rain, ice, volcanoes, geysers … Very basic and uncontrollable. But on the other side, Iceland is incredibly modern, everything is high tech. The number of people owning a computer is as high as in any other the world. This contradiction is also on Homogenic. The electronic beats are the rhythm, the heartbeat. The violins create the former, the atmosphere coloration. Homogenic is Iceland, my homeland, my home. "

Vespertine, released in 2001 saw another turn in his musical style and also caused a some controversy when the video for Pagan Poetry single was released, showing pierced nipples and exposed ends of Bjork, and images of acts sex, including vaginal intercourse and fellatio. The video for Bjork Cocoon also showed a seemingly naked with nipples that emits a red thread that eventually wrapped in a cocoon. Vespertine was also selected as one of the 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, a book by Robert Dimery (published in 2006).

Marrow was launch in 2004 and many of the songs contain voices are electronically distorted, a new twist in the style of Bjork. The album also contains the beatboxing (which I do to some extent) and throat singing. Marrow reached the British charts at number 9 and number 14 in the USA. This album is also listed in the 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die book and Bjork was nominated for two Grammy Awards (Female Pop Vocal Performance and Album Alternative Music).

Bjork's latest album Volta, was released in 2007 and debuted at # 9 on the Billboard 200 chart and is his first album of the 10 in the U.S. and reached # 7 in the UK. Bjork is currently on a world tour and there are some news reports in 2008. Björk has also been in movies, playing small roles in The Juniper Tree, a tale of witchcraft based on the story by the Brothers Grimm. He also produced the musical score for the film Dancer In The Dark and released music as Selmasongs in 2000.
