Tips for Indians traveling or living abroad (esp. US and UK)?
Please, please use deodorant! Top recommendation for men; Speed Stick “Sport Talc” fragrance by Menen, and for women Secret Unscented. You cannot take enough showers to eliminate the body odor emanating from your armpits and your whole body. Talcum powder and perfume do not work. Smelling fresh after a shower only lasts an hour at most. When you use deodorant you can go for a whole day and not smell up your office and make your co-workers wretch. You can buy a stick of deodorant for less than $5 and it will last you a year. 10 showers a day will simply waste water, destroy the environment, and you will still stink. These deodorants are also very effective (when used with an undershirt) in hot climates like India.
