You need eyelets, one for each hole. You can get eyelet kits- which include a tool to fix them to the fabric with- from places like Spotlight, Lincraft, or maybe even Bargain shops, pretty cheaply. Mark the spots where the eyelets will go before starting. It’s probably a good idea to have a double layer of cloth down the two strips that are going to have the eyelets on them, maybe with some reinforcing material (light weight Japara?) in between, as well. This will minimise the risk of the eyelets pulling out.
Thread in cord of your choice (also available from those places), and your smokin’!
