I have recently been commissioned to design a graphic for a t-shirt.
I now have the finished design and i wish to know the process i must follow to prepare the file for the t-shirt printing company.
Will they be able to put the image on screen just from a photoshop file, or will i need to separate the two colours i have used and save them as separate files?
What fileformat do most t-shirt printers perfer? .pdf files?

Wow, some incredibly bad advice so far. Don’t try to do your own separations. It would be great of you had done the file in a vector format, but if you haven’t leave it to the t-shirt company to do the separations. A .pdf file would do just fine. We prefer to get any type of file that has the image as a vector file. (eps, ai, cdr) If not, the .pdf is just fine. If the pdf is not a vector file just make sure it is in a fairly high resolution. Also, if there is any text it is sometimes nice to provide the printer with the .ttf font file as well.
